Chamber of Commerce presents 8th Annual “Taste of the Lymes”
Event Provides Scholarship Funds for Local Students
The Lyme-Old Lyme Chamber of Commerce will host its eighth annual “Taste of the Lymes” on Sunday May 4th, from 3 to 6 pm at the Lyme Art Association. The event is sponsored in association with the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut.
Proceeds support Chamber-sponsored scholarships. Taste of the Lymes has become a community tradition, pairing culinary specialties from local restaurants and caterers with fine wines & imported beers. Event coordinators are Pat McCarthy and Pam Stevens. Ken Turcotte of the Divine Wine Emporium is coordinating wine and beer selections.
Tickets are available at the door, or in advance from Reynolds Garage in Lyme, and Essex Savings Bank, Marc Jewelers, Office Express, Laysville Center, and Rogers Lake Liquor Store in Old Lyme. Phone Pat McCarthy (434-1602) for ticket information.
Donations are $20 per person. No one under 21 can be admitted.
“Our Chamber is proud of this event,” says Lyme-Old Lyme Chamber of Commerce president Charles Delinks. “It allows us to showcase local merchants, support the arts in our community, and provide educational opportunities to our students.”
